The Maid Showing
The Maid, which won this years Sundance Film Festival Award will be premiering in Rochester, NY on March 26th at the Eastman House Cinema after a successful premiere in New York and Los Angeles and more. We are excited to represent such a powerful and diverse film and bring it to audiences across the country.
THE MAID is a Chilean film about a woman named Raquel, who works as a live- in maid for a wealthy family in Santiago. Raquel becomes resentful towards the family when they bring in a new maid to help her due to her recently becoming ill. We see Raquel go through an emotional journey as she tries to find her way back to becoming loving and open to others as she has trained herself to be cold and distant. This film touches on Chilean culture along with the roles women play within a household. The film is moving and compelling.
Please feel free to watch the trailer at www.themaidmovie.com. Also, take a look at our website at www.elephanteyefilms.com and look at some of our other upcoming projects such as the film Precious that will be out in theatres in November.
