WHO'S A TEAM CAPTAIN?

You may be a writer thinking of directing your own short. Maybe you'd like to produce, but have someone else direct. Or perhaps you'd be happy handing off to another person entirely. Maybe you're not a writer, but want to direct someone else's script.

For lack of a better term, we call the Summer Shorts producers and producer/directors "Team Captains."



WHAT CATEGORY DO YOU FALL INTO?

A) I'll be directing my own script.

B) I want to produce, but find a director to work with.

C) I'm willing to turn it over to someone else. Maybe I'll work on the crew.

D) I'm a director looking for a script to shoot.

Please reply to this email and let me know where you stand. Also, if you've got some of your team together, let me know who they are.

Also, team captains should come to our next team captain meeting this Thursday, 6pm, at the Little Theatre Cafe so we can talk about our plans.

ACTORS

Meanwhile, we're moving ahead with auditions, the first of which is Sunday, April 11, 9:30am to 2pm at Visual Studies Workshop, 31 Prince Street.

I'll need Team Captains to let us know what shorts will be up for audition and the roles available (with race/age/etc).

We'll be getting word out to actors in our group, as well as Craigslist and other places.

DIGITAL COPIES OF THE SCRIPTS

I'd like to make the scripts available to our potential directors. I'll put them on the site in a zipped file to avoid the prying eyes of search engines.

PLEASE SEND ME YOUR SCRIPT, preferably as DOC or RTF, although PDF is acceptable.

LUNCH BOX PEOPLE

I'll be in touch with individual notes concerning your scripts. Also, Wayne and I are planning to use future Sunday Writers Group meetings to discuss specifics of the Lunch Box anthology project with those involved.
