Rochester Movie Makers Summer Shorts

Several RMM Summer Short film projects are in the works for the spring and summer. There are many opportunities to work with crews and casts of films in May, June, July and August. For more information, see the RMM Forum at www.RochesterMovieMakers.org/forum or come to one of the newly renamed RMM Producer Meetings (formerly Team Captain Meetings). The RMM Producer Meetings are every Thursday, Little Theater Cafe starting at 6pm.
RMM Writer Group

RMM Writer Group meets this Sunday at 11:30, Visual Studies Workshop, 31 Prince Street. Bring 10 pages of a short or feature screenplay. You sit back hear what you have written with a group read and get good feedback from other RMM Screenwriters. Bring enough copies of your script for each actor in the screenplay.
RMM Producer Meetings

The former RMM Team Captain meetings at the Little Theater Cafe will continue to meet every Thursday at 6pm but now with a new name, The RMM Producer Meetings. This is typically a meeting of Directors/Producers that are working on local films and are looking to network with others to fill needs. Its a great meeting to meet some of the more active RMM members each week! You are welcome to attend.
RMM Walk the Dream

The Walk the Dream Team is walking through Pennsylvania and getting warmly greeted everywhere they go. Lot of folks are giving them food, lodging and great stories.

RMM Funding Opportunity

Strategic Opportunity Stipends (SOS), a project of the New York Foundation for the Arts, working in collaboration with arts councils and cultural organizations across New York State, are designed to help individual artists of all disciplines take advantage of unique opportunities that will significantly benefit their work or career development. Literary, media, visual, music and performing artists may request support ranging from $100 to $600 for specific, forthcoming opportunities that are distinct from work in progress. RMM Bylaws

The RMM Executive Board has updated the RMM Bylaws for 2010. RMM Voting members will be asked to vote on adopting the changes to those bylaws at the May 31st RMM Member meeting, 6:30pm, Visual Studies Workshop, 31 Prince Street.

RMM Summer Meetings

RMM home, Visual Studies Workshop will not be available in the months of June and July so we will be looking for a temporary home for meetings this summer. If you have any good ideas of a place that would like to host RMM for a couple months, write to stan@RochesterMovieMakers.org. We need a large space for the RMM Member Meetings 6/28 and 7/26 and a smaller space for RMM Writer Group meetings tentatively 6/6, 6/20, 7/4, 7/18.
