NEW MEETING LOCATION AND DAY!

Rochester Movie Makers is moving!! Starting March 30th RMM has a new meeting location, The Visual Studies Workshop at 31 Prince Street. In addition to a new location, RMM Members Meetings will now be on the last Monday Night of each month starting at 6:30pm.

The Visual Studies Workshop is a wonderful space where RMM can show films easily and meet consistently on Monday nights gives us some synergy with The Emerging Film Makers showings at the Little Theater which will happen right after RMM meetings.

The March 30th meeting of Rochester Movie Makers will be the first part of the 2009 RMM Summer Shorts Challenge. Local screenwriters will bring 10 page screenplays for a group reading. The best short screenplays will be voted on by the membership and many will be produced as short films this spring and summer.

All three of the 2008 RMM Summer Shorts Challenge films have been accepted into the Emerging Film Makers April 27th at the Little Theater, 9pm. For Whom the Phone Rings directed by Kevin Graham, One Kill directed by Mike Russo and X-Girlfriend from Stan Main are all on the bill that night. Tickets are just $5.00.

Rochester Movie Makers is an organization of local film makers, actors, camera persons, screenwriters and others in the Rochester area. RMM members volunteer help making each others movies and become familiar with other film/video makers in the Rochester area.

RMM is a NY State non profit educational organization with 501C3 pending designed to help new film makers network and bring short and feature films to reality. Have an idea for a movie? RMM meetings are a combination of education and networking. Come to RMM meetings each month. You may find an actor that motivates you to write a screenplay, you may find a director who will cast you in a short film this weekend, or you may find a producer that needs you to help direct her film. Attending regularly will help you make relationships with others in the Rochester area interested in being in and making motion pictures.

To help the organization with expenses the organization voted to establish a voting member with annual dues of $25.00 ($10.00 for students). All are welcome to attend any Rochester Movie Makers meeting regardless of dues paying status.
